IGUANAS – August 20th – 24th

This week was all about camping, nature, and the great outdoors. Take a look at what we’ve been up to…

Camping dramatic play…

We made trail mix cookies…yum!

Wildlife reading center…

We tried a new play dough recipe that used coffee grounds. It looked just like dirt and we added animals, bugs, plants, and sticks to create nature scenes…

We built forts…

We made nature journals and added to them at the park…

We made bird feeders using toilet paper rolls, crisco, and bird seed…

Leaf rubbing & stencils…

Clay tea lights…

The Iguanas eagerly awaited their special treat on popcorn day…

We made paper binoculars to use on a nature walks…

We collected sticks at the park and used them in our art center…

We went blackberry picking…

Its been two weeks since we planted carrots and lettuce in our garden and they are already sprouting up. The Iguanas have been taking such good care of the plants by watering them daily…

We incorporated nature into our paint center. We experimented with adding leaves and flowers to our paint and even using flowers as the paint brush. Beautiful!

Thanks for reading! Until next week,
