BLUEBIRDS – October 15th – 19th

L is for LEMON…   Each child was able to roll, squeeze, and taste their own lemon this week.  What a great taste sensation! Sour lemons! Children took turns, cooperated as a group and learned how to make real lemonade.

This little bluebird remembered that L is for lizard and was giving her own teaching lesson to her friends.

We used white boards this week to practice straight lines and circles. We made zero, the letter L, squares, circle pictures and windows. Pretty amazing!

How is this for an example of self directed group cooperation? Note the patterning for math skills.

We hope you enjoyed the lions that came home this week. Please have fun practicing the letter L in words that you see around your home. So far we’ve learned that L is in: lion, leaf, lemon, lizard and lollipop. Can you help your child find more L words?

Bluebirds are having a great time as Mr. Antonio shows them the course they are to follow on the mats.  Mr. Antonio can be a great entertainer at times, as you can see by the children’s laughter! The children have already gained confidence and agility on the mats. They are climbing, balancing, rolling, somersaulting and just enjoying life. The children politely watch one another perform and then clap for their classmate!

This little Bluebird chose to put on a purple costume, relax in a child-sized overstuffed chair, and sing “five little frogs” to herself as she demonstrated the power of learning number and word patterning through song.
