What an exciting week we’ve had! Take a look!
Fun with Flubber!
This stuff is truly a unique sensory experience. It is gooey, slimy, cold, and stretchy.
Flubber is also really easy to make at home. Here’s the recipe…
In one container mix 1 1/2 cups warm water with 2 cups white glue and food coloring.
In another container mix 3 teaspoons Borax with 1 1/3 cups warm water.
Pour the mixtures together and gently life and turn the mixture until only about a tablespoon of liquid is left. Flubber will be sticky for a moment or two.
Let excess liquid drip off and flubber will be ready.
Store in an airtight container for about 3 weeks of use.
(Please note that we always ask children to wear paint shirts when playing with flubber because it can
adhere to clothing.)
Robins to the Rescue!
This week the drainage holes in our boat became clogged causing the boat to fill with rain water. The Robins quickly came to the rescue, working hard to scoop out the water using shovels and buckets! Great teamwork Robins!
What Is Inside A Pumpkin?
This week we learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin. We also cut a pumpkin open so that the Robins could explore what was inside.
We even roasted the pumpkin seeds. Yum!
Happy Halloween!
This week has been filled with Halloween festivities. We all dressed up in costumes…
After we were all dressed up, we paraded around Kidspace to wish all the other classes a Happy Halloween!
This week our learning centers were filled with astronauts, reptiles, princesses, knights, and more!
Last but not least, we sat down to enjoy some tasty treats. Cookies, caramel apples, and caramel corn. Yum!
Thank you to all the families that spent time with us this week, helped make our Halloween parade & party so great, and donated items for our celebration. You are wonderful and we appreciate you!
Until next week,
Miss Crystal & Miss Julie
