Just as the sand was filling the sandbox, the afternoon Robins class came out to help and investigate. Before any adult could say a thing . . . ALL the shoes were off! Not a single child asked . . . they all knew without a doubt the only way to truly experience a brand new sandbox was without shoes.
True, it was the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, generally not a time for barefootin’. But, it was as if God understood the children’s need for a complete experience, toes and all, and blessed us with a beautiful spring day in the midst of harsh fall weather.

Barefootin’ in the brand new sandbox . . . an experience not soon forgotten!
