IGUANAS – August 6th – 10th

This has been a very FUN and very MESSY week in the Iguanas’ class. Take a look!
Pete the Cat
We started our week with the book, Pete the Cat, in which Pete just keeps on getting his new white shoes all messy. In the book, Pete steps in strawberries, blueberries, mud, and water. What better way to bring this book to life than a cooking project. We made blueberry muffins & mud (chocolate pudding). We also ate sliced strawberries and drank water. YUM!
Later on in the week, we stepped into some messes of our own…
Water Day!
We made our own bubble wands our of string & straws and our own bubble solution using water, dish soap, & corn syrup…
 Splishin’ and splashin’!
An afternoon of fire and ice with the mad scientist!
This hands-on science presentation was a blast!

Let’s Get Dirty!

In the classroom, we made “clean mud” by mixing grated soap, warm water, and toilet paper…

Mud paint…

Iguanas were the first class to plant in the new planter boxes. We planted carrots and lettuce and we’re so excited to watch them grow!

Thanks for reading! Until next week,
Miss Crystal, Miss Julie, & Miss Rachel
