Have you ever let your child husk corn?
We placed the corn in a big bin. Peeling the husks and getting to play with the silk was a new experience for some of the children, but soooo much fun and such a delight for our tactile senses!
After all the work (and fun) husking the corn . . . we boiled it.
We also prepared other “C” foods to eat:
CAULIFLOWER!
It took strong hand muscles and perseverance to break the cauliflower into bite size pieces.
CUCUMBER!
Using a peeler takes concentration and expert eye-hand coordination.
Getting those peels into the trash can is no easy feat!
CARROTS!
It was two thumbs up for our nutritious “C” snack of:
CORN, CUCUMBER, CAULIFLOWER AND CARROTS
