It’s been another wonderful week in the Robins’ class! Take a look…
The letter of the week was “K”. At “circle” the kids tried to use their carpet squares to form the letter “K”. These pictures don’t do it justice…they did a great job!

Valentine’s day is almost here! The Robins have been counting down the days until their party. This week they decorated bags for their friends to leave valentines in.
Valentine’s Day math! Counting, sequencing, & sorting …
Heart shaped puzzles…
We made our very own rhyming heart books…
This Valentine’s Day sensory table was a huge hit…
We made a new batch of playdough, but this time we added cocoa to the mix. The children decided the dough smelled great, but they wished it had been a better color. They enjoyed “baking” different things with the mixture…
We did some more experimenting with ice. This time we used cold water, hot water, and salt water. The children tried to guess which would melt the ice the fastest. The Robins traced their names and then added their guess to a graph. We found that hot water worked best and that salt water actually took the longest.
This week we played some games using a giant parachute. First the Robins tried to work together to bounce balls up and down by moving the parachute in unison. Next, they took turns crawling under the parachute to try and discover whcih of their classmates were playing the drum.
The Robins are great at working together!
They work together to build…
Later in the week, some kiddos the used the same parachute to build a giant tunnel in the gym. Everyone contributed their ideas and in end they came up with something they all liked.
Team relay races are tons of fun and they give us a chance to work together in teams..
One day a group of children started to disagree about a project in the sandbox. Half of the children wanted to make an “ice rink” and the other group wanted to have a restaurant. The children talked through the problem and found a great solution…they made a restaurant that had an ice rink in the middle!
Thanks for reading!
Until next week,
Miss Crystal & Miss Julie
