The last two weeks have been full of ABCs, the spirit of Thanksgiving, and Turkeys (of course)! Take a look!
We’ve been working on the letter “E” and the new sign we’ve learned (Elephant). The Robins really love practicing their Sing & Sign ABC song.
The Robins demonstrated their growing letter recognition while getting creative with alphabet stamps…
Stone Soup
This week the Robins read many different versions of the story, “Stone Soup” which ties in nicely with the the spirit of Thanksgiving. By sharing and working together, we made our very own stone soup. The Robins were hands-on through every step of the way (cleaning, peeling, chopping, stirring, and more)!
Our stone soup consisted of vegetable broth, carrots, potatoes, green beans, salt, pepper, basil & celery seed. Most of the kiddos ate at least 2 servings! Yum!
Turkeys! Turkeys! Turkeys!
The Robins have been working on a variety of turkey arts & crafts.
Tissue paper & paper plate turkeys…
Feather turkeys…
Pine cone turkeys…
The Turkey
“The turkey is a funny bird…It’s head goes WOBBLE,WOBBLE.
The only thing a turkey says is GOBBLE, GOBBLE, GOBBLE!”
The Robins are THANKFUL!
The Robins have also spent some time talking about gratitude and what it means to be thankful. Today we worked on “thankful” trees and each child had the opportunity to name something they were thankful for…
We are so thankful for each and every one of the Robins & their families.
We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
See you next week!
